Forest Resource Data Lead

We are looking for a Forest Resource Data Lead to our Forest Division to manage and develop forest resource data and practices. You will be part of the Stora Enso forest organisation in Finland and collaborate with the Stora Enso Forest Division Precision Forestry Team. The role can be based flexibly in Finland and it reports to Director, Customer Management and Marketing. We apply a hybrid working model.

About the role 

In the Forest Resource Data Lead role your main responsibility is to manage forest resource data owned by Forest Finland. Your co-workers are situated in our IT Team and Forest Division Precision Forestry Team. You will also collaborate widely across Forest Finland organisation, and you will represent Stora Enso in various national and scientific collaboration networks. You will act as the key person between Forest Finland organisation and Division Precision Forestry Program as well as a part of forestry and wood procurement digitalisation. You will get good visibility and contacts to Nordic forestry and latest digital innovations concerning forest asset data gathering, handling and utilisation.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Business ownership of forest resource data of Forest Finland
  • Management and development activities in collaboration with IT Team and Precision Forestry Team
  • Participation in various collaboration networks with other forest business actors and service providers

About you 

We are looking for a forestry professional with:

  • Minimum five years of work experience in forestry
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong competence of GIS and forest recourse themes
  • Good networking and co-operation skills
  • Process-oriented way of working
  • Open, social, and resilient mindset
  • Drive and willingness to act as a business owner
