The Role
We are now seeking a Forestland Country Manager Finland to lead and develop our forestry business. This newly established senior leadership position builds on a strong operational foundation in Central Finland and forms part of our international forestry portfolio.
As Country Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the Finnish operations, ensuring sustainable growth, profitability, and long-term value creation. You will lead strategy, guide acquisitions, safeguard compliance, and represent Ingka with key stakeholders. Just as importantly, you will focus on building a strong team and fostering a culture where IKEA values are lived every day.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations
- Lead and develop Ingka’s forestry operations in Finland, with full P&L responsibility
- Drive profitable and sustainable growth, ensuring investments deliver the right risk/return balance
- Oversee acquisitions and ensure compliance with legislation, sustainability standards, and company policies
- Develop and implement a forestry business plan aligned with Ingka’s international strategies including setting and monitoring KPIs to track performance
- Strengthen governance, risk management, and a culture of compliance
- Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing team and ensure succession planning
- Foster collaboration with colleagues across Ingka units and represent the company with stakeholders
- Promote and live the IKEA culture and values in all aspects of the role
What We Are Looking For
- A strong background in forestry, forest economics, or related industries
- At least 5 years of leadership experience, with skills in investment analysis, negotiation, and stakeholder management
- Solid knowledge of forest operations, business processes, compliance, and sustainability
- A university degree in forestry, business administration, economics, or equivalent experience
- Fluency in Finnish and English; Swedish is an advantage
- A passion for sustainable forestry, people development, and IKEA values
